Shri Narendra Kumar Mitharwal is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and has joined NPCIL in 1990 after completion of one year In-plant training course through 1 st Batch of NPCIL Training School at Nuclear Training Centre, RAPS, Rawatbhata. He is recognized as a is outstanding Scientist (OS) of the Department of Atomic Energy.
During his carrier, he has worked at Five Project construction sites i.e., Rawatbhata-3&4 (2x220 MWe), Tarapur-3&4 (2x540 MWe), Rawatbhata- 5&6 (2x220 MWe), Rawatbhata-7&8 (2x700 MWe) & Kakrapar-3&4 (2x700 MWe) in various capacities including positions of Chief Construction Engineer, Project Director, Site Director and Officer-on-Special Duty in NPCIL. He is having 34 years of work experience in Mega Nuclear Power Plant Construction & Commissioning.
He has to his credit, completion of first of a kind, Mega Nuclear Power PHWR Project of 2x540 MWe capacity at Tarapur (TAPP 3&4) and 2x700 MWe Mega Nuclear Power PHWR Project at Kakrapar (KAPP 3&4).
Shri Narendra Kumar Mitharwal is appointed as Director (Projects) on the Board of NPCIL w.e.f. 11 th October, 2024.
